is the founding member of the band that was starting to form in late 2007.
A forty year veteran of musical performance, he first distinguished himself
in the contemporary Gospel genre’, having had several of this original

Vince has performed with various other rock groups including “Three’s Company”
and “NightWind” prior to founding his current band. Vince is one

John
Pritchett
Bass
Guitar & Vocals
John,
or "JP" for short, is our truly gifted member that plays a five-string
Yamaha YB-5 bass guitar. Besides the bass, JP is also formally trained
on both the trumpet and flugelhorn and plays them professionally.
John also has extensive experience playing with various types of musical
groups for both local and regional bands. JP has also played his
bass as a studio musician in Nashville during a summer break from Ohio
State University. He has played his trumpet at church and in brass bands
and quintets and for weddings. JP also teaches trumpet to younger students.
He has played bass for country, blues, jazz, and rock bands including "The
Sounds of Tyme", "The Usual Suspects", and "Lewis and Clark" prior to joining
PeTey and the CRUISERS. JP also contributes his background vocals

John
Johnston
Keyboards
John
was the last member to join the band. Also known as “JJ,” he started
taking organ lessons at the age of nine and ended them once he graduated
from high school. Having that knowledge allows him to play two keyboards
at the same time, which helps in several songs. John uses an Alesis
6.2 and a Roland Juno Stage for events. He uses a Yamaha Motif ES6
at home for recording. John is the one that adds “waves,” strings,
horns, marimba and sax to our songs besides the normal B3 Organ or standard
piano sounds. John also works the special lighting for our shows. |

Lowell
Peters
Drums
Lowell
is the very talented drummer for the band. Lowell’s passion for music
as a drummer has spanned over forty years. Back when he was younger
and had more hair on his head, Lowell started playing with rock bands and
has played with such notables as the Buckeye Ballroom Band and an Elvis
Tribute Band. Lowell has performed his percussion expertise from
Nashville to Memphis and Las Vegas prior to returning to central Ohio.
An often sought after drummer, Lowell even manage to earn the title as
Best Drummer in Ohio |
several
years ago. Playing either a full set of DW or OC drums, Lowell just
keeps setting the correct beat for each song and shows off his unlimited
talent when let loose with his sticks. He now has returned to his
rock n roll roots as a founding member of PeTey and the CRUISERS.
